Katie Holmes might be slated to play the role of Wonder Woman.
“The movie’s only at the discussion state, but Katie feels this role as a kick-a$s superhero will put her back in the public eye,” the source says. “She wants to show her stuff, and she wants to prove that she can stand on her own two feet without Tom’s help. Tom, at times, feels compelled to oversee Katie’s career, but Katie is bent on doing this alone. She actually scheduled the meeting when she knew Tom wasn’t going to be able to be there.”
We’ll see if this pans out, but for some reaosn I can’t imagine the doe-eyed Katie playing Wonder Woman. What do you guys think?

She has the height and body for it, so that’s not a bad physical casting. Not sure about her acting chops (although she and Joshua Jackson were the best part of Dawson’s Creek). My husband will be extremely disappointed as he was hoping Joss Whedon would cast Cameron Diaz in the role. I’m still holding out hope for SMG!

i think it’s perfect! i’m not a holmes fan at all, but it’s not like the original television series was full of emmy award-winning acting! she fits the part and could probably throw a truth-lasso as well as any other robotic actress. and since there probably won’t be many lines, it’s a perfect vehicle for her.

Whedon is a genius. No matter what kind of Cruise camp/ Studio pressure for Holmes, no way does he make that fuck up. He’d walk first. His first choice, Monica Bellucci, is perfect. Let’s pray he gets her.

i think being the giant woman that she is makes her perfect type casting for wonder woman. i suspect the acting requirements will be lax, so, yeah she can probably do it.
