SJP’s Covet Commercial
Have you guys seen the new commercials for Sarah Jessica Parker’s fragrance, Covet? Here is the youtube.com link if you guys haven’t seen it on TV yet. Personally it freaks me out and I am particularly not fond of the ending. What do you guys think of the ad? Also, anyone try the fragrance out yet?

She looks friggin possessed at the end of the commercial. My 3 year old took a look at her face and went screaming out of the room.

My hubby and I saw it yesterday and when it was done we looked at each other like, huh??? I don’t think it will motivate people to buy the perfume. If anything they’ll just be like, WTF?

The 1st time I saw it the sound was muted on my TV. I have to admit it seemed a little goofy to me, not to mention a little scary.

the commercial is fine..i like little story lines in them..but i smelled it and wasnt really impressed..ehh..smells like every single perfume that celebrities try to make

They keep playing this commerical non-stop on Style network! I’m getting so sick of it. On the concept of it tho, it’s pretty catchy. The only thing I noticed is that her arms, while they are putting cuffs on her, look unusually small, almost cartoon-like.

I like it. If you go to the Covet home page and read the story behind the commercial, I think it’s kinda cool. It becomes a whole contest to win $10,000. It’s not like they just randomly decided to make a weird commercial.

I thought it was really stupid. It may have worked better for a longer time frame but it was too rushed, like if you missed one second of it you’d be lost in a sea of SJP’s overly theatrical faces.
And yeah, she looked a little bit frightening in the ending.

So I WASN’T the only one freaked out by the ending when she said “I had to have it” Yeesh. The look on her face reminded me of her character on Hocus Pocus. But I think the commercial overall was alright.
