Sarah Jessica Parker Wanted An Affordable Fashion Line
Sarah Jessica Parker chose to launch her clothing line with the discount store Steve & Barry’s - because she wanted to make her fashion affordable. Although Parker was inundated with offers to design clothes for exclusive labels, but she wanted to ensure her fashion line wasn’t just going to be overpriced.
She says, “Because of the close proximity I had with great designers during Sex And The City, I understood what it took to be a real designer… I don’t have the necessary skills. Give the money to Narciso Rodriguez or someone!” And - having grown up with eight siblings all forced to wear hand-me-downs - she wanted everyone to be able to afford her clothes.
Parker adds, “It was a very different idea - the concept that quality shouldn’t be a privilege and fashion shouldn’t be a luxury.”

I like Bitten. It’s a great line with clothing staples at great prices. I mean, where can you find a plain, tight-fitted white tee these days? Hardly anywhere! But SJP’s line has ‘em. SJP is awesome!

i think she’s AMAZING!
she’s not this cookie cutter perfect looking celebrity.
she’s a great mom and wife and actress.
and i think she’s a great model.
she’s making really cool clothes that won’t make you go broke,
and i think that is so wonderful.
she might not be the most beautiful woman alive,
but i would rather have her face plastered everywhere
than paris hiltons, because at least she does something meaningful.
her inside beauty makes her gorgeous to me.

Awesome concept. Awesome Idea. I likes the clothes, too. Hate most of her fashion choices and that awful TV show she was on. But she won me over with this one. I don’t give a fuck what she looks like.

What is with Hollywood veins these days??? Ok, Angelina, Madonna, Kelly Ripa, and now SJP. Seriously, it is NOT attractive to be that muscular and veiny. Whatever happened to toned and lean? Remember how SJP looked in “Honeymoon in Vegas”? She had a fabulous body and screwed it all up with too much weight-lifting. Gross
