Is Britney bipolar?
From stripping down to her skivvies for a July 18 dip in the Pacific to melting down at a July 19 photo shoot for OK! Magazine, Britney Spears could hardly be classified as stable.
What could be plaguing the pop tart?
“Her erratic behavior has moved into bipolar disorder,” surmises psychologist Dr. Robert Butterworth, who has not treated Spears, 25.
“Your energy level and emotions alternate between highs and lows, and that seems to have happened here.”
Psychologist Robi Ludwig, who also hasn’t treated her, agrees – to a point.
“It seems that Britney has a mood disorder,” she says, acknowledging that the singer’s behavior is “self-destructive, erratic and dramatic,” which could also be symptomatic of drug and alcohol abuse.
She added: “She strikes me as someone going through a delayed adolescence.”

I believe the delayed adolescence bit. She acts like a 11 or 12 year old because noone has ever told her no. She’s moody, bossy, hormonal and really very immature. You can tell she’s VERY insecure and just really sad right now. Someone a long time ago should have slapped her when she was under 18 because now the family’s kicked out and anyone who would do that is on the payroll. Grow up.

I do not think anyone should judge whether or not Britney has bipolar – I love these interviews from Dr.’s who do not treat them … they are basing their decision on photographs and stories. I would hate to be diagnosed with AIDS or cancer from a Dr. based on photographs and stories.

Just because a Dr. gave his opinion based on what he say , doesn’t make is an official diagnosis of her… Unless she reads it and it affects her, it was nothing more than one persons thoughts on the very public matter.. and if Britney doesn’t want speculation being made about her behavior, then she needs to either get some help, or grown the hell up.. Her own kids(provided they are normal themselves) are going to to pass her mentally by the time they are 13..

I am not a Doctor, but being someone who is Bipolar, it really bothers me when people think that just because someone acts irratic, they are Bipolar. There are so many things that it could be between “normal” and Bipolar Disorder. However, I do think that she needs to get some professional help.

you know Bipolar is a serious thing. i knowing first
hand because i am bipolar. it took years of being
manic and depresed before actually getting the right
diagnosis. taking the right medication can make a wonderful difference. hopefully brittany will seek
some help.

Who cares – the girl needs to be out of the public eye – maybe she and Dr. Phil can buy and island together where we never have to see or hear either one again!!!
