I just went and saw Hairspray…

And I loved it!
I asked everyone I know if they would go see “Hairspray” with me, and every single person said “NO!”. Except……. my mom and my 4 year old son. (He’ll be 5 next week) I swear everyone thought I had lost my marbles when I told them I wanted to see it.
I love me some musicals, though. And 2 hours of John Travolta in drag, well – how can you go wrong? It was song after song from opening to closing credits – and I thought the whole thing was just pure entertainment. My 4 year old sat between my mom and I, and at one point got out of his seat to do a quick dance.
It was a really fun movie…and to all my friends and family who told me “NO!” you don’t know what you missed.

I refuse to see this ’cause I was a HUGE fan of the first one. I still watch the one with Rikki Lake ever so often. Why can’t Hollywood come up with some original stuff?

I loved Hairspray!! My 15 yr. old daughter saw it first and went on and on about it and said I had to go see it, so I took my 7 yr. old daughter. Half way through the movie she turned to me and said “can you sign me up for some of that singing and dancing”!! She has been singing the songs ever since, and I have put “Good Morning Baltimore” & “Welcome to the ’60s” on my ipod and listen to them while working out. FIVE STARS…go see it.
