Thandie Newton forced director Guy Ritchie to fake a sex scene between her and Rocknrolla co-star Gerard Butler - because the Scottish star was suffering from a cold.

On the day the pair was scheduled to leap between the sheets, Butler arrived on set sick - and Newton was so scared of catching his cold, she refused to kiss him.

The actress says, “Gerry was very unwell indeed. So I wouldn’t kiss him. Guy had to improvise. I don’t know how he coped with those problems but it ended up being one of the most brilliant scenes.”

Meanwhile, Ritchie’s wife Madonna tried to cure the sick 300 star with vitamin shots.

He admits his celebrity nurse only served to make him feel worse: “I got a shot from his (Ritchie’s) wife Madonna! I was sick, and she was a nurse basically. Guy introduced me to her and she said, ‘You’re the sick one?’ and I said, ‘Yes’. Well, she was amazing. She just said, ‘Drop your pants’. I stood there with my little bottom out, and she gave me a shot in the bum! It didn’t work at all - I got more sick!. But I appreciated the effort.”

Anne Hathaway tells ET that she has much to be thankful for and has gained a lot of strength from friends “even in difficult moments.”

Hathaway, whose ex-boyfriend was arrested in June on charges of operating a fraudulent real estate scheme that he claimed was linked to the Vatican, said she has the greatest friends in the world and she trusts them with her privacy and to help her move forward in trying times.

“I have so much to be thankful for, even in difficult moments,” Hathaway said during an interview in conjunction with the debut of her film ‘Rachel Getting Married’ at the Toronto Film Festival. She also said she is lucky to have come from a family of strong women and that, “I have learned that I am one as well.”

Hathaway was with her ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri for several years. Follieri was charged in U.S. District Court in New York with conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering in connection with the scheme, which allegedly duped investors into believing he had close connections with the Vatican allowing him to purchase unwanted U.S. properties owned by the Catholic Church.

Paris Hilton is backtracking on her plans to start a family - because she’s too busy to get pregnant.

Just last year, the socialite announced plans to become a mom, insisting she’d be pregnant within two years.

But now she’s had a change of heart because she’s busy restarting her acting and music careers.

Hilton reveals her oddball musical Repo: The Genetic Opera will eventually be released on November 7th and she’s completing work on her second solo album.

She says, “Right now I’m just focusing on my business and travelling around the world. There’s no time for a baby right now.”

But she’s not writing off motherhood; she tells HollyScoop.com, “I would love to be a mother one day.”

Actor Gary Coleman was involved in a car accident in Utah in which a 24-year-old pedestrian suffered minor injuries, after police say Coleman and the 24 year old got into an alleged arugment.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports Coleman, 40, was backing out of a bowling alley in a town about one hour south of Salt Lake City around midnight Friday when his truck hit another car and a pedestrian identified as Colt Reston, the Tribune quotes police Lt. Bill Wright as saying. Reston was taken to a hospital where he was treated for minor injuries, Wright said.

Witnesses told police the actor became irritated after Reston photographed him and the two argued in the bowling alley before moving outside.

Wright said neither Coleman nor Reston were cooperative at the scene and added that there were “indications” that alcohol was a factor in the incident. No citations were issued.

The “Different Strokes” actor made headlines earlier this year when he and his wife Shannon Price agreed to appear on the TV show “Divorce Court” in hopes it could help resolve marital issues.

Lindsay Lohan is hoping to raise a baby with girlfriend Samantha Ronson, I can exclusively reveal.

I hear the Mean Girls star will ask one of her ex- boyfriends to provide the necessary, erm, male input.

Last month, I revealed how Lindsay and Sam were planning to “wed”. Later this year they want to publicly come out and declare their love for each other in a lavish LA bash. Having a child seems like a natural next step for the duo, who admit they are “smitten”.

A source close to the couple told me: “Lindsay is in a very happy place at the moment. She’s been having deep discussions about a baby. She wants a natural birth and has spoken to Sam about getting one of her ex-boyfriends to help out. They don’t want to adopt.”

Lindsay, pictured above in her new movie Labor Pains, was in rehab for drug and alcohol addiction and hopes that having a child will help her recovery.

As for potential fathers, Li-Lo is spoilt for choice. She’s dated a string of hot blokes, including Jared Leto, Calum Best, and Jude Law.

Heather Mills’ former publicist is finally opening up about working with Paul McCartney’s ex-wife. And it ain’t pretty.

“Heather is a calculating, pathological liar and the biggest b—- on the planet,” Mills’ former rep Michele Elyzabeth told Britain’s News of the World. “She not only misled me, she misled the entire world.”

Elyzabeth stopped working for Mills six weeks ago when, she says, she realized the former model was lying to her.

According to Elyzabeth, Mills leaked false stories about McCartney to the press and bugged his phone calls.

Mills once played a phone conversation she had recorded between the former Beatle and his daughter, Stella, for Elyzabeth while wearing latex gloves, the rep said.

“She said she didn’t want her fingerprints on it at all, so they couldn’t trace it back to her,” Elyzabeth explained.

“I heard Paul say, ‘Heather is really crazy, she’s driving me nuts. She should be happy to get what she’s getting she always wants more. She’s never happy.’

“Then Stella made a joke, something like, ‘She doesn’t have a leg to stand on!’ I think they both laughed.”

Mills, who lost a leg during a traffic accident, vowed to “destroy him” after replaying the message, Elyzabeth said.

Mills won nearly $50 million in her divorce settlement from McCartney, but was called out by the presiding judge on her wiretapping and liaisons with the press.

“It is said that on June 25, 2006, the wife illegally bugged the husband’s telephone, in particular a call in which Stella made very unflattering comments about the wife,” the judge wrote in his ruling.

“It is further said that the wife leaked the intercepted material to the press to discredit the husband.”

Mills also asked Elyzabeth to lie about McCartney’s financial aid while she was going through the divorce, the rep says.

“I told millions of viewers Paul didn’t give her any money at all,” Elyzabeth said, referring to an interview she gave with “Extra.” “The media lapped it up.”

In reality, Elyzabeth says, McCartney doled out plenty of cash for Mills during the divorce proceedings, but Mills still tried to get out of paying the publicist for her services.

“I’ve asked myself many times what was Heather’s motivation, but it all points to one thing — money,” Elyzabeth said. “She’s a gold digger. I’m certain her marriage to Paul was all about the money.”

Kelly Brook has moved on from her broken engagement to actor Billy Zane - she’s been spotted enjoying a string of dates with England rugby star Danny Cipriani.

The 28-year-old beauty called off her wedding to Titanic star Zane in April, after deciding she wasn’t ready for marriage. The couple reunited soon after but split for good this summer.

But Brook has now found happiness with Cipriani, 20, according to British newspaper The Sun.

A close pal of Brook says, “It’s early days but the romance is definitely on. She’s said how she likes Danny but is a bit worried he’s eight years younger.”

However, Brook appears to be keeping the new romance under wraps.

When questioned about her relationship status on U.K. chat show Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, she replied, “I’m single. I haven’t had that many offers. I haven’t been out all that much. I’m open to meeting someone but I’m enjoying being single.”
