Here’s what Katharine McPhee had to say in Stuff Magazine’s upcoming August issue:

On having children: “I want to have, like, 15 babies. I’ve always wanted to be pregnant.”

Her desire for children sparked an idea for a Halloween costume: “One year for Halloween, I decided to be pregnant, so I got this nun costume, and I put a big belly under it. I showed my parents and said I want to go to school as a pregnant nun. My dad sat me down and said, ‘Katherine, you can’t!’”

Katharine, 23, is currently dating stage performer Nick Cokas, who is nearly 20 years her senior.  She says she has had a thing for older guys ever since she became legal.

On dating older men [she is currently dating Nick Cokas, 20 years her senior.]: “When I turned 21, I thought it was a good age to explore. You’re no longer a teenager, so it’s okay [to date older guys]. I gravitated toward them, and I love them. They’re just wiser, and they’re less about themselves and more about you.”

I don’t know about that last statement. Isn’t a healthy relationship about the partnership and not necessarily being focused around just one person? Sometimes celebrities come across as being so selfish, and half the time I don’t even think they realize it.

I don’t think she meant it in a selfish way,
because I think in good relationships both people are more about the OTHER person than they are about themselves,
which is what makes the relationship work.

And she’s right, a lot of younger guys are just more interested in themselves than they are in having a really deep relationship with anyone,
which isn’t necessarily a bad thing it’s just where they are in their lives.
