‘Lost’ Star Josh Holloway in Talks to Play Gambit in X-Men 4
Josh Holloway, star of hit TV series Lost, is in negotiations with 20th Century Fox to play Cajun fan favorite character Gambit in the fourth X-Men instalment. This confirms the mild speculation over whether another sequel to the fourth-highest-grossing movie in 2006 (approx. $234 million US) would be made. A few actors, most notably Halle Berry, have expressed reservations about donning the X-spandex for yet another intense, green-screen-heavy, CGI freak-fest. But with the success of the Spider-Man movies currently Hollywoods No. 1 cash cow with an iron-clad contract guaranteeing at least three more Spidey sequels its no surprise the X-Men franchise is still being expanded.
Josh Holloway expressed nothing but excitement at the prospect of bringing the kinetic Casanova to the silver screen, exclaiming, “I would love to play a superhero. I’d love to wear a cape and tights! We had a meeting and they wanted me to play Gambit, the card dealer character, they thought Id be perfect for the part.”

i recon he’ll be perfect for the part as Gambit is very much like ‘Sawyer’…. great!!!!! perfect!!!!!!

I hope that this comes true! Gambit is a great character and Josh would be a great actor to play him! Gambit in X4! YAY!

Yes Josh is perfect for the character! No Brett Ratner for X4, bring back Brian Singer! Brian Singer did an excellent job with the first two. Michael Clark Duncan should be Apocalypse in X4! He should not have played The Kingpin in Daredevil. Havok and Banshee (David Caruso)definately need to be in X4 including a few others such as Forge(Jimmy Smitts).Psylocke had a terrible part in X3 and WTF happened to The Blob cuz that one fat/skinny character was not him.They should let Forge make the Professor’s Hover Chair then later make him a special suit allowing him to walk,run,fight. The Shi’ar could be involved too .To defeat Apocalypse they should combine Prof.X,Magneto,and Jean Grey to become Anslaught.

I think that having Josh Holloway as Gambit would be a great idea.
