Am I missing something?

Jessica Simpson is taking on another movie, produced by “Dukes” producer Bill Gerber. The 25-year-old pop star will have the leading part in Major Movie Star, according to ComingSoon.net.  She will play an actress who has hit rock bottom and enlists in the marine reserve.

When asked what was the reason for her decision, Jessica said this was something Goldie Hawn, who starred in Private Benjamin, would have done.

The  singer will go on set in the fall. Meanwhile, she declared she chose no to play in the romantic comedy Room Service, an adaptation of the novel by Beverly Brandt, as was previously reported.
