What did you think of Celine Dion’s duet with Elvis last night?
I did a whole heck of a lot of fast forwarding on last night’s American Idol. I’m sorry - I just don’t like telathons. I did pause a couple times to watch a few performances. One that I did watch was Celine and Elvis. And is it just me, or did it ROYALLY suck!? I’ve read online that some people really liked it - so I might be alone. I didn’t care for it.
So tell me what you thought!

Hi, I thought the Elvis performance was awful! I also forwarded through so much of the show last night and even said that I may not watch next seasons. This has been the worst Idol so far to me.
Have a great day.

I think Idol last night was for a great cause and I seriously think the world does need to wake up a bit about what’s going on with poverty all over the world, HOWEVER, I really don’t think American Idol is the place to try and exemplify responsibility…the show SUUUUCKED last night (I actually was so bored I went and studied….what does that tell you?) but if it raised money and the people who need it actually get the money, then I think that’s all that matters really. Definitely not gonna watch Idol next year (except maybe the auditions)…it’s just gotten a bit too much. Over done.

I too, found the Elvis/Celine performance a little boring as well. The coolest part was my kids freaking out saying “I thought Elvis was dead?” My oldest finally got it, but the little one was seriously confused. And I do agree that the show is getting a tad “Jerry Lewis” on us, but it does my kids some good to see how extremely lucky they are.

I absolutely cannot stand Celine Dion, won’t watch anything she does. So I’ll definitely be fast forwarding thru that!

I thought that all of the performers from last night were wonderful, except Celine Dion. That performance was soooo boring, I would have enjoyed it a lot more with just Elvis singing. Otherwise I really enjoyed the show, Jack Black anyone?!?!?

OMG–AI sucked so hard core last night!! Not to mention, i literally threw my shoe at the TV after they didn’t vote anyone off!!!!!!!!

After last year’s Taylor Hicks fiasco, I stopped watching AI. I tuned in last night, though, because it was for a good cause. I found most of the performances boring and lackluster and it was also the worst AI, IMHO. I won’t be watching this show again. Ever. Its time has come and gone.

I thought the duet was lame. Elvis looked like a hologram, like some 1983 Disney effect. The entire show was just odd.

I’m bad with the technology, so I’m confused as to how they got Elvis back like that…but it pisses me off. I can’t believe Elvis would be ok with being raised from the grave to do such a crappy show. Just my thoughts.

I thought it was just CREEPY!! And quite distracting….besides most of the young fan base of Idol probably don’t know who Elvis was! Just CREEPY!!

Lmao! How come American shows make dead singers come back to life to perform duets!!!??I’m literally rolling on the floor laughing!Oh, and I didn’t like the song!

I thought the performance was good. I enjoyed it. I am pretty upset that Phil is still there, but I don’t vote, so I can’t complain.

I think what American Idol did last night was commendable. These are real issues.. And if it got someones fat ass of the sofa to donate a couple bucks instead of reaching for a bag of potato chips, then I say Bravo. You really have to put somethings in perspective. While I may drive my BMW to work with my daily latte and complain about working period..However, others are greatful to get a simple mosquito net so they won’t get bit up when they sleep at night, consequently coming down with Malaria and dying because they haven’t the resources to get medication. LOOK at the whole picture people it’s quite humbling. I applaud American Idol for that show.

Two of the greatest singers ever. Absolutely Great! I loved it.

the Elvis performance was total cheese ball!!!! I couldn’t believe what I was watching. Best part of the show was dr. phil busting a move to Stayin’ Alive.

I thought it was completely wonderful.. The show was outstanding!!! What a great way to reach so many people!!

Elvis is the greatest star in history. He sold a billion records, and almost 1 million people visit his home each year. That’s 2nd to the white house. When Elvis did a song it came from his heart and Soul, while most today it’s all about their EGO.. We need more people like Elvis today. To quote Ryan Seacrest. ” Elvis is and always will be the greatest star. You can’t argue with facts. There is Elvis then there is everyone else.

I thought the Elvis part was fantastic even though I do not like Celine.I saw him in person 2 times and it made me get goose bumps to watch him perform,so I was ecstatic to hear that wonderful voice again on Idol.I also applaud Idol for raising so much money for the disadvantaged. Those who are complaining about it are probably the SAME ones who never even give a buck to help anyone. All the do is sit on their butts & complain.
