Marilyn Manson doesn’t want to be blamed for VTech.

Marilyn Manson fears his music will be held responsible for the Virginia Tech massacre on Monday, just like it was after the Columbine shootings in April 1999.
Manson worries his music is going to come into question again as people look for someone to blame for the drama that unfolded on campus at the university on Monday, leaving 33 people dead.
In a BBC radio interview last night, Manson said, “I was watching it in the same way that I can remember watching the TV when Columbine happened, and just seeing it take place as any other person would.
“Then suddenly Columbine happened and my name got brought into it and I wouldn’t be surprised if my name got brought into this.”
Back in 1999, family groups claimed Manson’s dark and brooding music encouraged student fans to launch a killing spree at Columbine High School in Colorado.

Personally, I don’t like him much, but I love his music. And I AM getting tired of people blaming music for teen violence. HELLO we have a GOVERNMENT SANCTIONED WAR going on every single day here in America, full of blood n guts n death n violence. IT’S NOT THE MUSIC.

Um, yeah…He’d actually LIKE to get his name brought into because at least then people might actually care about this washed-up has-been…By making that comment he’s attaching his name to it. What a loser.

No, somehow it’s Collective Soul that’s gotten into this one. The killer listened to ‘Shine’ over and over again…?

Uh yeah. I haven’t heard anyone mention his name in this case. Guess the news people don’t assume Asian kids listen to goth rock. Nice double standards, eh?

Isn’t Collective Soul a Christian based group? How would their lyrics prompt his violence?? I’m confused…

I love Marilyn Manson! He isn’t a has-been, he’s got a new album coming out and his previous albums were awesome, minus Smells Like Children, which was good, and he can do what he likes!
Washed up has-been? Look at Iggy Pop.
