OH MY GOSH!!! I cannot believe what I’m hearing.
You’re just NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS. Alec Baldwin apparently upset with his daughter for not answering the phone – goes off on her, in an unbelievable way. Keep in mind – his daughter is only 11.

An enraged Alec Baldwin unleashed a volcanic tirade of threats and insults on his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland, calling her a “thoughtless little pig,” and bashing her mother Kim Basinger — and TMZ has obtained the whole thing unfiltered and raw. And, we’ve learned, the tape could cost Baldwin his visitation rights.
After Ireland failed to answer her father’s scheduled morning phone call from New York on April 11, Alec went bersek on her voice mail, saying “Once again, I have made an ass of myself trying to get to a phone,” adding, “you have insulted me for the last time.”
Switching his train of thought, Baldwin then exercised his incredible parenting skills and took a shot at his ex-wife, declaring, “I don’t give a damn that you’re 12-years-old or 11-years-old, or a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass who doesn’t care about what you do.” The irate Baldwin went on to say, “You’ve make me feel like s**t” and threatened to “straighten your ass out.”

“This crap you pull on me with this goddamn phone situation that you would never dream of doing to your mother,” screamed Baldwin, “and you do it to me constantly over and over again.”
Before hanging up, Baldwin warned the child, “You better be ready Friday the 20th to meet with me.” That’s tomorrow.
We’ve learned, Wednesday, that Los Angeles County Superior Court commissioner Maren Nelson heard the tape and temporarily suspended Baldwin’s visitation rights. A hearing is set for May 4, where the judge could permanently deny Baldwin visitation or contact with Ireland.
Calls to Basinger’s attorneys, celebrity lawyers Neal Hersh and Judy Bogen, were not returned.
Baldwin’s lawyer, Vicki Greene, told TMZ, “Whatever happened yesterday was sealed and confidential. What you’re telling me you’ve got you shouldn’t have.”
Kim has been saying for years how awful Alec is. I wonder who “leaked” this message. I’m just stunned, really.

11 or 12? He doesn’t even know how old she is? So what? She didn’t answer your phone call. Kids that age are at the point where they are starting to have social lives and often, their friends and activities interfere with parental time. It’s normal. If there is a school function or a birthday party, my boys don’t go to their dads house that weekend. Jeez.
What worries me is …how is he going to teach her a lesson? Hopefully, he never gets that chance.

I read on another site ( don’t know if its true) that Kim took the recording to a jusge, and they suspended his visitation temporarily until the first part of May, when they go back to court!

Whoa whoa, who said Kim gave this to the press? She’s been saying he’s a monster for years, and that he caused her no END of psychological trauma. No wonder she took it to the judge. It takes FOREVER for the judicial system to see when a parent is bad without the bad parent spelling it out like this. Sometimes the legal system NEVER sees how badly a parent’s behaving, until it’s too late. Alec Baldwin is an asshole.

What a beautiful girl – she’ll have no self esteem if he stays in the picture. I don’t blame Kim for leaking it – it shows him for what he really is. A bad father and horrible person. Keep him as far away from her as possible. Who ever heard of a scheduled phone call to your daughter? That’s lame and just plain pathetic, whoever scheduled it!

Yes – it is him. His lawyers have confirmed it… and they say “Well, it should have never been leaked in the first place.”

While I do not totally agree with his choice of words, it sounds like she has been far too influenced by her mother. I think it looks like they have ben playing “phone tag” but it is more like she is just following moms lead and he is tired of being made the villain in the case. I have no idea what went on in their marriage and we certainly do not know the whole story here, but it comes across that this child does need discipline that she is not getting otherwise- she’ll just turn into another Hollywood brat. Hell, he makes attempt to contact her, he must have some love for the child, otherwise he would have given up in the custody battle.
There are three sides to every story and we are not getting all the info so its easy to judge. I kind of feel bad for him actually.

KATES: THIS CHILD NEEDS DISCIPLINE!? You got that from this phone call!? How does this child need discipline for not answering the phone!? And I wouldn’t say he went out of his way to call her out of the goodness of his own heart. If you noticed – it was a SCHEDULED phone call. Nothing says I love you like a scheduled phone call!

Jeesh Jocelyn, I love your blog, but no need to attack me for what I gathered on my own to form my own opinion. If this call was SCHEDULED as you mentioned, then I actually find it WORSE that she did not answer the phone. If this call were scheduled, she SHOULD HAVE answered the call, but instead she rather play games they way her mom probably taught her. A scheduled call is made because I would think that both parties agreed to the date and time.
So yes she probabnly does need discipline for being a brat. I think he went lightly by calling her a pig. Selfish little bitch would have been more appropriate if you ask me.
Again, we do not have the whole story of what goes on behind their closed doors. This poor child is clearly being molded and manipulated by bassinger and its quite sad that she has turned her daughter on her father. For crying out loud, she did love him at one point, at least be a grown up and let the kid form her own opinions of people.

I think people are too lenient with their kids nowadays and thankfully I have noticed a trend back to discipline.
