6. Zapped! (1982)

How can you beat the dream team of Scott Baio and Willie Aames? Answer:
You can’t. Don’t even try. Baio plays a high school science whiz who
gains telepathic powers after an explosion in the school’s chemistry lab.
It’s only a matter of time before his hormonal best bud (Aames) gets
him to make the prom queen’s dress fly off.

5. The Last American Virgin (1982)

The most depressing entry in the genre is also one of the most
heartfelt. Bittersweet loser Gary (Lawrence Monoson) loses his dream girl
(Diane Franklin) to his skeevy best friend (Steve Antin) while the Cars
shake it up on the soundtrack. And get this: He doesn’t even get the girl
in the end! Methinks director Boaz Davidson watched too many Bergman
films.

4. Private School (1983)

Matthew Modine gets tarted up in drag to bust into Cheryvale Academy
for Girls, all to sneak a smooch from girlfriend Phoebe Cates and catch a
peek at busty rich bitch Jordan (Betsy Russell).

3. Risky Business (1983)

”Joel, get off of the babysitter!” Tom Cruise dances in his
tighty-whities, becomes a man on a subway train, and manages to outfox Guido,
the Killer Pimp.

2. Revenge of the Nerds (1984)

If the No. 1 movie on this list is the Citizen Kane of Reagan-era T&A
romps, this is the Magnificent Ambersons. Lewis, Gilbert, Lamar,
Poindexter, Booger, and the rest of the Tri-Lams go up against Ted McGinley’s
sadistic Alpha Betas. Panty raids, limp-wristed javelin
competitions…heck, the nerds even rap! A classic.

Yes, it is the Citizen Kane of ’80s teen sex comedies, thanks to Sean
Penn’s dazed-and-confused star turn as Jeff Spicoli (”Aloha, Mr.
Hand!”), the easy-on-the-eyes Phoebe Cates, and Brian Backer’s lovable loser
Mark ”Rat” Ratner, who nurses a puppydog crush on Jennifer Jason
Leigh with the wounded sincerity of the last mutt left at the
