Sandra Bernhard Says Britney Spears’ Parents Are To Blame
Britney Spears’ parents are to blame for her breakdown, because they pushed her into the limelight and failed to step in when she found herself in trouble, according to comedienne Sandra Bernhard.
The controversial funnywoman has been a longtime critic of the pop princess, but claims she feels sorry for the former Mouseketeer’s recent plight.
She says, “I’ve been doing pieces on Britney for quite a while now, and I find her kind of a touchstone in culture, and I have a great deal of empathy for her.
“I think she was basically co-opted by her parents at a very young age, forced into this business. And it’s not completely her fault that she’s flipping out.
“Having an eight-year-old kid myself, and knowing the vulnerability of a child and being thrown into that disgusting, slimy world of Disney. I mean, I can’t think of a more horrible thing to do to your child.”
MAN she’s got a bucked up face.

OMG, what happened to her face?!

What do mean what happened? Her face has always been like that. That being said, I think she looks good here.

She looks like she could easily be Fergie’s MOM!!!

She’s always been facially unique. She’s jewish.

Anonymous… “She’s Jewish”?
Are you kidding me?
What sort of antisemetic, ignorant, bs comment is that?
I… I… I am, for once… speechless.

She’s busted gorgeous. Way more interesting than the usual blonde button-nose (yawn). Love her face, and it looks like there’s an actual person behind those eyes.

That’s ok… she’ll look great right after I get done shoving these forks in my eyes….

SANDRA RULES. She speaks the truth! Viva Sandra! Britney is trash and so are her parents.
March 23rd, 2007 at 10:08 pm
Please, like she gives a shit about a bucked up face. She’s always been a convincing wit against all that shit. I bet she’d make you feel very embarassed if she gave a shit enough about you to answer back.

Yes I completely agree with Sandra. That was my initial opinion from the beginning. Children who are not allowed to have childhoods grow up with serious demons. I hope Britney, and all other adultchildren, get the help they need.

I agree with her- the parents are to blame.
March 24th, 2007 at 1:20 am
What a picture… wink wink… yuk! Why does her folks have to be the blame… she is older enough to make her own choices…
March 24th, 2007 at 10:07 am
Cherries, you are right! She is old enough to make her own decisions and old enough to know right from wrong. She’s a mother now and has her children to consider. She’s a spoiled rotten typically selfish american princess brat in an adult’s body.
The bad choices that we make are ours and ours alone–not our parents’.

SB is looking Rough! She’s a banger from the neck down though! If you put some eye make-up on her, she can look presentable.

Guess what anti-semetic anonymous most Jewish people are beautiful. In fact most of the people in Hollywood (actors) such as Brooke Burke etc… are either 1/2 or 100% Jewish. Since Jews are the smallest group of people in the world that leaves a hell of a lot more hideous non-Jews out there. I would assume you are one ugly, ignorant goy to say that.

Oh boo hoo… Britney was compensated quite well. Anyone with common sense (her agent, lawyer, 17 Magazine?) should have told her to spend less money on Vegas parties and more on intense psychotherapy. I have no empathy for someone who had the means to do the right thing and still chose to eat Cheetos, dress poorly in public and have two kids with a f**k-up wanna-be rap star.

people, people, people — there’s nothing wrong with her face. that’s her face. as for what she says about Brit, was B forced to go into the business? don’t think so. but who really knows anyway? maybe Britney is having her adolescent rebellion period now — that being said, hope she learns to show some love for those who stood by her all along — her manager and her family. come on, Britney — give your family a break!
