Carrie Fisher Tops ‘Nerd Crush’ List
Carrie Fisher has topped a new Internet poll to find the Hottest Nerd Crush of all time. The actress’ portrayal of Princess Leia in Star Wars beat Gillian Anderson’s X-Files detective Dana Scully in the new Maxim.com hit list, which focuses on the hottest comic book characters and sci-fi stars.
The top 10 list is:
- 1. Carrie Fisher (Star Wars)
- 2. Gillian Anderson (The X-Files)
- 3. Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix)
- 4. Grace Park (Battlestar Galactica)
- 5. Lara Croft (Tomb Raider computer game vixen)
- 6. Famke Janssen (X-Men)
- 7. Jeri Ryan (Star Trek: Voyager)
- 8. Aeon Flux (comic book heroine)
- 9. Jennifer Garner (Alias)
- 10. Natasha Henstridge (Species).
Did your nerd crush make the list? Sweet picture, by the way. I’ve got 2 boys…I’ve seen ALL the Star Wars movies at least a hundred times. I don’t remember the Star Wars where Princess Leia went to the beach. But maybe I missed that part.

What happened to Teri Hatcher back in her Lois and Clark days? The nerds couldn’t get enough of her then.

it just goes to show what a nerd i am, but if i were a guy, i’d say the best comic herione is motoko kusanagi from the ghost in the shell manga and anime… hell, as a female, i’m still half in love with her. the character is a gazillion times smarter and sexier than any of the others on the list…. bah. These “top whatever” lists are always so pop-culture silly and unrepresentative.

Alexa: Maybe they went by quantity over quality? Motoko Kusanagi may be hotter and smarter than the whole top ten combined, but only a handful of people outside Japan would have known who that was.
Other Karen: That’s true. Teri Hatcher was/is a hottie. Maybe she came in 11th. Maybe they should be like NASCAR and have a Top 12 because 10 is too limiting.
IMHO, although Carrie Fisher looked hot in that bikini in Episode VI and she could kick ass if she had to, I would have put Gillian Anderson and a black latex-clad Carrie-Anne Moss in the first two spots.
