   Anne Hathaway – WORST, that is one ugly frock

   Penelope Cruz – BEST, it works on her

   Jada Pinkett-Smith – Ambivalent, something that gave her curves would have been more flattering

   Jennifer Hudson – BEST, after she ditched the Jetson-esque shrug and took her hands out of the pockets

   Jodie Foster – BEST, she looks lovely

   Beyonce Knowles – Ambivalent, I’m not feeling the grapevines, but the fit was lovely

   Kate Winslet – BEST, loving the fit, a deeper shade of green may have been more flattering, though

   Penelope Cruz – WORST; reminds me of a long version of the Bjork swan dress

   Jada Pinkett-Smith – WORST; needed curves

   Jennifer Hudson – BEST after removing the jacket.

   Jodie Foster – BEST

   Beyonce Knowles – WORST; looked like she was going for an Adam and Eve theme.

   Kate Winslet – BEST

   I love all of them except Jada and Penelope and Jennifer’s mini jacket/shrug thing. Her dress was beautiful, but the jacket was terrible. Also, I thought that the three red dresses the “Dreamgirls” performed in were miles more stunning than any of the dresses they wore to the show.

   I didn’t like Cameron Diaz’s dress at all. I think Kate Winslet dress would have been better in a darker color because she is so fair skinned. The rest I agree with you. Jennifer Hudson’s jaket was so wrong.

   In order:
   Ann Hathaway: best. Straight out of the ‘Ascot’ scene from My Fair Lady
   Penelope Cruz: worst. Top is good, color sucks & bottom looks like a feather duster exploded
   Jada Pinkett Smith: WORST doesn’t fit, isn’t flattering, color bad
   Jennifer Hudson: dress is good, bolero is bad
   Jodi Foster: how can you be on the fence here? She looks GREAT! Great color, great hair, sophisticated dress. Definitely on the BEST list!
   Beyonce: worst! Trashy trashy trashy. Looks like something Mariah Carey would wear.
   Kate Winslet: best. GREAT color, simple & flattering

    Kate Winslet was definitely one of the best dressed ladies, along with Reese Witherspoon, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts!!

    The pic of Jada doesn’t give her dress justice. The color looked better on tv and made her look like she was glowing. Anne Hathaway’s dress looked terrible especially when she was presenting with her Devil Wears Prada costar. Kate looked fabulous (the color is great) and so did Jennifer Hudson after she lost the silver thing. The pictures don’t look great and they all looked better on tv.

    Kate Winslet looks stunning in that dress! … well, except her hair. with it slicked back like that it makes her look like her head is disappearing, I would have liked to see some loose, shoulder-length waves or something.

    Hathaway – it’s OK, nothing spectacular.
    Cruz – love the top portion of the dress, but the skirt looks like a giant feather duster of the kind that French maids use.
    Pinkett-Smith – beautiful color, but the cut is too boxy for her figure. She needs to create an illusion of curves.
    Hudson – nice dress. I didn’t get the bolero jacket thingie at all. Plus, the formal pockets seem to be “done”, it’s one of those trends that fizzle quickly.
    Foster – nice color and cut, but the cups cut into her boobs, creating an extra set there.
    Knowles – a little too bridesmaid-ish for my taste, but she looks happy.
    Winslet – a beautiful cut for her, but the color washes her out a bit.

    My favorite dress was Helen Mirren, which is not shown here. But the woman manages to look *stunning* every time she shows up at these things!

    Anne Hathaway – Best
    Penelope Cruz – Worst
    Jada Pinkett Smith – Worst. It just doesn’t do anything for her
    Jennifer Hudson – Best. I love the dress, but the jacket is horrible
    Jodie Foster – Best
    Beyonce – Either. The dress is okay, but I don’t like the stones.
    Kate Winslet – Don’t know. The dress is just a bit boring…too plain.

    Anne – Beautiful lace, the big bow doesn’t really do anything for me. Not as hideous as made out to be though. I think she looked quite beautiful, the dress was just a little different…

    Penelope Cruz – Really not a fan of the ruffles, or the detailing on the bodice. The whole thing is just too busy.

    Jada – Too structured. It looks like she’s been wrapped in sheet metal. I don’t like the detailing on the bodice either. Because she has a boyish figure she needs something feminine to offset the masculinity. Isn’t her little boy adorable?

    Jennifer – Not long after the Oscars Jennifer said that she was pushed into wearing that hideous jacket, and being new to Stardom, i can forgive her. But it truly is hideous. When did Oscar gowns start having pockets?

    Jodie – I think she looks absolutely stunning. The colour suits her colouring perfectly. Absolutely love it.

    Beyonce – That colour is awful on her. Far too pale. I would have loved to see her in something bright. And she looks like she got tangled up in a grape vine on the way.

    Kate – I’m a real fan of Kate and I think she is stunning, but that colour is far too pale for her. It makes her look gaunt and sickly. The dress is flattering and really stunning, if only it was in a brighter colour!
