Should Antonella Barba be kicked off of American Idol for naked pictures?
Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe says he has not seen any of the Internet pictures, and only learned of the sexually explicit shots from EW. ”We have really good background checks on everybody, and we deal with that every season,” he says. ”It’s sad, isn’t it, that your best friends are the ones that come forward with information that will go to Smoking Gun or put your photographs on the web?”

i don’t think she should get kicked off because of her heart less friends putting these “personal” pictures online of her, personally i think she should sue the sites and people responsible for putting them out if thats possible….and fyi to carolyn, frenchie got the boot because she had pictures taken of her for a paycheck and knowing that they would be online, not the same thing. antonella is having her personal life made public!!!!

OMG, she does look like a less butch version of Hilary Swank. I didn’t realize that. I think she should be booted because people have gotten kicked off the show before for similar stuff. She can’t sing anyway and obviously is just an attention whore. I don’t feel sympathetic about her “personal” life being made public. Most of those pictures are posed and she knew exactly what she was doing in every picture. So she likes looking like a slut, I don’t want to see it anymore.

I do know that if AI does not kick her off the show they can expect to be visited by the Racism Pimps (Al Sharpton and his crew) who, for my money, would love such a media grabbing event – never mind the sensless killings going on here in Far Rockaway (by the way Al missed the march – come to think of it so did the press – Interesting?) ;}

When her and her friend were standing next to eachother and her friend goes “god likes good people” I guess what she was should have said is she was taking about the two of them “God likes attention seeking whores” shes not that pretty and no one is taking into account in these pictures she’s drinking and shes 20. thats underage drinking of YES she should be kicked off. and I hope she goes NO WHERE with her singing! cause shes not that great!

thisi is a singing competition which she cant sing and has a bad attitude when told so, hence the rolling of the eyes…. she’s s dirty slut in my opinion and like i said its a singing competition not whore idol…. the word idol is someone you look up to, who can look up to her but horny guys/girls?? if she stays on the show it only proves that the public is voting on the scandal which is sad because there are more qualified people on the show, and if the producers dont do anything about it than we can expect that next year it will be a whore competition inorder to try to stay on longer and not because they can sing. they did it to frenchie… they should do it to her too

I cannot believe that she was voted through again. As stated, many other contestants are more qualified than she is, yet this publicity stunt has worked in her favor. I don’t remember any of the contestants names except for hers simply because of this escapade. I can definitely agree that she cannot sing. Although, this is a singing competition, it is apparent that voters have forgotten that. Instead, they are focusing on Antonellas’ looks and the rest we all had the privilege to see. It’s rather unfortunate for the others, but I doubt she’ll last much longer. Sooner or later, this will subside and we’ll all be asking ourselves Antonella who???

Do we REALLY care?? Hell, there are probably naked pictures of my Grandma on the internet….. jeez! Give the poor girl a break. It’s not like she’s posing for cash! (I’ve taken the same type of pics for my husband!) Yeah, it’s a given that she SUCKS as a singer and can’t hold a candle to the Big Guns AI has on this season, but good grief, if people are voting for her simply to see if more pics arrise, then the American Public is even lower than I originally thought–Especially since it’s come out that the pics (the dirty ones) aren’t even her! I agree that AI has made the right decision to keep her there. I don’ t think she’ll make it past next week- so at least people know her name now, and isn’t that the point of AI???

I don’t believe she should be kicked off for her pictures. On American Idol she should be judged purely on her singing ability and not any personal preferences. I suspect that most of the judgmental people condeming her for the pictures could very well have a daughter who would do the same sorts of tings with her own friends, or they’re a homely and jealous woman (the type who refer to her as a skank or whore), or dudes who wouldn’t know what to do with an attractive woman.

I knew it was a matter of time before she was booted off the show. She is not that talented. Not that great of a singer. There were to many others that are better than her. She lacked the personality and had no singing style. I found her to be boring. There was nothing that stood out for me to vote for her. As far as the pictures goes well, that did not help her. I also found her to be quite arrogant. Some people will say she was confident but I know the difference and confident is not how I would describe her.
