Are “the Others” Scientologists?
Thanks to my buddies over at The Tail Section…comes this little tidbit from last night’s episode of LOST (which rocked, btw).
The symbol that Juliet was branded with was very similar to the cross of Scientology, turned upside down. Inverted crosses came about with St. Peter’s crucifixion. He did not feel worthy of being crucified under the same cross as his messiah. It has since come to symbolize ‘unworthiness’ and as a mark of deep respect for your superiors.
Could the others be Scientologists?

You are SO right! Last night’s episode rocked! I even found Bai Ling’s performance tolerable. Wouldn’t that be weird if they were all scientologists?

This would actually make sense. JJ Abrams is a scientologist, and he created the show.

Yeah, that would make sense…
Except that JJ Abrams is not a Scientologist.
And he didn´t create the show, he´s just a writer for it.
Other than that, makes perfect sense.
