I’ve decided to take down the Britney Spears rehab pictures.

If you’re looking for the Britney rehab pictures, I’ve decided to take them down. I’ve been having a sort of moral dilemma with having her rehab pictures up… and I decided to just take them down.
I know her stay in rehab only lasted less than 24 hours, but I still don’t think it’s our place to show pictures of her in rehab. It’s like kicking a person when they’re down… and I felt bad. (I know, you may be shocked)
The pictures are ALL OVER the internet, and if you really want to see them – there are many other sites where you can go view them.
I feel really bad for Britney, for her family, for her little boys…and I felt bad all morning about posting her rehab pics. So I’ve taken them down!

Well, I disagree…I don’t think that me talking about Britney Spears and me posting pictures of her in rehab are the same thing.

You know, nk, your attack on Jocelyn is really uncalled for! It is one thing to post pictures of celebrities on the red carpet, when they are doing their “job”, or if they are somewhere public where anyone might see them. It is another thing to post pictures that grossly invade one’s privacy, like those taken with telescopic lenses when someone is on their own property or when they are in private facilities, like rehabs. The paparazzi have really crossed the line between what the public have a right to know and totally invading other human beings privacy. I applaud Jocelyn for doing the right thing.

I have to agree I think it is wrong to show pics of someone who is going through such a hard time
February 21st, 2007 at 3:31 pm
Jocelyn i actually totally respect you for it. its a tough time in her life and those pictures are so sad, its something she should definitely be allowed to deal with in private.
February 21st, 2007 at 3:37 pm
Jacelyn, I also respect you for what you are doing. I admire you. You are rigth, even though i love hollywood, i have been felling sorry for Britney! So I think you made a good decision

Good call Jocelyn. I’m proud of your decision. I love your site because it’s a lot of gossip with a lil’ bit of heart.
xo!
February 21st, 2007 at 3:48 pm
Good for you. May be everyone will give her a break. It is sick how she is pursued.
February 21st, 2007 at 3:50 pm
I agree with Anon. We have no business prying into her life and judging her. On the red carpet etc. that is another matter.
February 21st, 2007 at 3:52 pm
Thank you.
February 21st, 2007 at 3:52 pm
This is why I love your blog!
I always check this site and rarely visit others because they’re too mean. Thanks for being fun but also having some class!
February 21st, 2007 at 3:55 pm
ok, this one is hard for me. I respect Jocelyn for how she feels and for her not posting pics because i love her site and what she does, but on the other hand, Britney is a celebrity and with that comes ZERO privacy. I do feel bad for Britney, why is it nobody felt sorry for Lindsay? Is it because she isn’t a mother? she has a family, parents, brothers and sisters, did anyone feel sorry for them? Lindsay went to rehab and now she is out again…tons of celebrities go to rehab and how come no one feels sorry for them or for their families or how come noone wants to keep there life private, why does Britney get the ‘feel sorry for me’ bit?
February 21st, 2007 at 3:55 pm
Yeah i agree, she’s been having a lot of problems lately, we should repect her privacy at this time.
February 21st, 2007 at 3:57 pm
Jocelyn – It’s nice to see someone has some morals around here!
While it is one thing to report on this story, it is another thing to invade Britney’s life when she is trying to get help in private (at least when she was at the rehab facility). It’s appalling to see what lengths the paparazzi are going to get a picture of her when all she needs to do is concentrate on getting better–for her and her childrens’ good. The most sickening part of this whole thing is that it’s all in the name of getting a shot to make million$. I know Britney probably has a lot of other issues, and it seems like she’s asking for the attention, but what do you think got her to this breaking point in the first place?! Britney needs serious help, and one thing we can do to help her is to leave her alone for the time being!!!
February 21st, 2007 at 4:19 pm
As a Britney Spears fan I applaud your stance. Everyone wants a piece of her because it gets hits online and makes their websites popular but a moral boundry needs to be set.
February 21st, 2007 at 4:22 pm
Thank you, Jocelyn, I think that you made the right choice. We are ALL aware of the difficulties Britney is having now. Let’s hope that she commits to being in a 30-day rehab facility, and HONORS that commitment. I don’t want to see her go the self-destructive route of Anna Nicole Smith.
February 21st, 2007 at 4:40 pm
Good for you…ignore the rest. You do what is right for you.
February 21st, 2007 at 4:48 pm
Thank you Jocelyn =)

Thank you!!

I agree, it is more than likely that Britney is on meth, coke, or some other illicit substances. She really needs to get help and with the media bashing her it must be hard. Kudos for taking the pictures down. : )

Good for you! Awesome blog!
February 21st, 2007 at 5:58 pm
Bravo Jocelyn!
I think there are certain times that you just have to leave people alone – regardless of thier *status* .. this is one of them. This is part of the reason that I keep coming back to your blog – sometimes too often :O)
Thanks~!

I think you did a very noble thing that isn’t found these days. With kids, there is an entirely different element involved and you made the right choice because at the end of the day, you have to live with the decisions you make. Great job!

Just hope that poor girl gets some guidance and support soon. She is in a downward spiral.
February 21st, 2007 at 6:33 pm
Jocelyn, I just want to support you it what you have done! I have seen addiction issues up close and they are horrible! I know that everyone is in the business of blogging about stars, but there comes a point (and this is one) where one has to hold the line. You did that! More power to you and for admitting why! I appreciate your decision.

good move!!!!
Maybe if everyone else had your morals…she would stay in rehab.
She needs support!
February 21st, 2007 at 9:04 pm
Wow, thanks for all of your support! After that first comment I received – I thought I might be in for a beating myself!
I’ve had family members that have dealt with addiction problems – and would I want their face plastered all over the internet, when they’re at their worst? NO. That’s what did it for me…I put myself in her shoes for a few minutes and thought…OKAY, I have to draw the line somewhere. Next pictures could be worse than the rehab pictures, and I just don’t think I want to go there with my site.
This whole Britney story has just gotten sadder. I really feel bad for her. I think that all of us forget that this girl just had a baby less than 6 months ago. She could be dealing with post-pardum depression. It’s totally possible.
I dunno…I’ve never been a Britney fan, but lately I just feel really, really sorry for her. As we’ve seen with Anna Nicole Smith – tragedy comes unexpectedly – and Britney needs to watch herself and get some help.
Anyways – thanks for the support… couldn’t believe how many of you guys left comments! Thanks!!!

Thank you. How can she get help with pictures popping up. I feel that we are going to see a bad end if she is not left alone. This is a very troubling situation constant camera on her will only make it worse.

THANK YOU!! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU
February 22nd, 2007 at 12:38 am
I completely support your decision. Taking those pictures down shouldn’t even render a reason.
February 22nd, 2007 at 2:16 am
Jocelyn, sweetie, good for you! To tell you the truth, I didn’t like the fact that one of my favorite sites (this one) supported this cruel showing of Britney’s pain… Now you’ve removed them and I’m glad, I just feel that it is not right to show such pictures..
THANK YOU.

Right now, that is the unfortunate truth but that doesn’t make it right. 100 years ago, women were not allowed to vote. Was that right? 50 years ago, non-whites were segregated. Was that right? None of it was right and the gross invasion of privacy celebrities have to endure is not right, either. Think how you would feel in their shoes. As Jocelyn said, I wouldn’t want someone following me around every time I set foot outside my home, just waiting to get an unflattering shot, waiting for me to trip, make a fool of myself, be a human being with all our imperfections. And it isn’t just Britney Spears that I was refering to in my above comment. I feel sorry for all celebrities in these invasive circumstances. And what about the children of celebrities? Maybe Angelina, Brad, Reese, Gwen and the rest of them signed up to be celebrities but the kids sure don’t have any choice in the matter. They didn’t pick their parents and they certainly are too young to decide if they want to be celebs, hounded by the fan, paps, etc. Where do we draw the line?
February 22nd, 2007 at 5:40 am
What an awesome gesture! I think sometimes people forget that even though these are clebrities, they are real people with real problems. Celebrities are not always just characters in a big play for us to watch. Exploiting the real pain of a person’s lowest point for entertainment borders on psychotic. Thanks for having a heart!!

You are a classy lady! There’s a reason I only visit this site.
February 22nd, 2007 at 6:41 am
good for you.. britney needs the support.. i couldn’t imagine living my life with my business out there for everyone to criticize.
February 22nd, 2007 at 6:50 am
good call! keep up the good work!
February 22nd, 2007 at 7:02 am
Well… I love this site, and I think it’s a courageous decision, compared to other sites, the fact you don’t want to use someone’s breakdown to make huge hits. Very honorable. But maybe the best thing would be to BOYCOTT her completely and not give her publicity anymore…And the same way it would respect her privacy for sure. I am quite sick of seeing Britney’s decay all over the web.
February 22nd, 2007 at 7:10 am
hmmm…a mixed bag on this…i often wonder what the responsibility of a blogger is…you post the pictures that are taken by paparazzi, that hound celebrities…taking away what privacy, if any that they have…whether those pictures be of a crotch shot, a date, or in the midst of someone’s complete break down…i hate when people say that celebrities deserve what they get when they put themselves in certain circumstances because they are famous…we as the public are a just an enormous mob throwing tomatoes and such….just imagine if your work had a blog, and would take up skirt photos of you and put them up on the company website…or your school puts up pictures of you when you are out and takes a picture of your fat roll….just so everyone can humiliate you…
it is inevitable that pictures are going to be taken right before a celebrities real demise…and when something serious follows…all those bloggers will “feel” just soooo bad…right?
i think it is best we all put out as much positive energy into the universe as possible…humiliation is such a terrible feeling when you get it from one person alone…for one moment…imagine how it would feel to have millions of people laughing at you…just for a moment imagine…
February 22nd, 2007 at 9:08 am
Kudos to you, Jocelyn!! Your site is one of the very few sites that has actually posted other pics, other stories, and other news items while all this Brit stuff is going on. Many thanks to you for setting the example. Love your site, and much love to you, Britney!!!
February 22nd, 2007 at 10:34 am
That’s very kind of you, all these other websites bash Britney horribly…

Renae said: “Britney is a celebrity and with that comes ZERO privacy”
I would echo what anon 5:19 said earlier and also suggest that you put yourself in a celebrity’s shoes. Yes, they get paid ungodly amounts of money, and yes, we all like to gawk at their clothes and see that they get zits, etc. That being said, it’s totally unfair for paps to hound them every second of the day and especially when they have been asked by a celeb for some privacy, the paps should back off. What if your job required that you be “on” 24-hours a day? Would you think it was fair if your boss showed up on your doorstep at 3:00AM or when you were at a bar after work? Why is it different for a celebrity? Their job should not have to be 24-hours a day or cause people to have meltdowns because the paps are so invasive. There should be a law that bans intrusiveness outside of “public events” so that people can have a life without dealing with the hassle.
