Well, apparently Splash News didn’t like what I had to say…
Check out what they posted on their site. I think this is hilarious.

What do you think? Do you think it’s awful to show a video of CPR being performed on Anna? I want to know…

I think it’s highly inappropriate at this time to show the life-saving measures that her bodyguard took. Even the news channels who are featuring her story seem to be treading lightly as they discuss the less than favorable details of her life. Respect the dead, Splash News!
February 8th, 2007 at 7:17 pm
Yeah, I think it would be as bad as watching Steve Irwin die from the stingray. It doesn’t matter that Anna Nichole was… Anna Nichole. A human is a human and death should be a private matter!
Rest in peace.

i’m not a fan personally of that sort of thing – seems like she should at least have a little bit of dignity. Put it this way – if I saw it on your blog, I probably wouldn’t watch it. I just think about her family, friends, etc.
February 8th, 2007 at 7:55 pm
It’s a violation of one of the most intimate and vulnerable moments of a person’s life. I love all the celebrity gossip and blogs, etc, but this is too much.
February 8th, 2007 at 8:00 pm
no matter what people though about her personal or professional life – the fact still remains that a little girl will be without a mother. she will have to learn about her mothers life from books, magazines and the people that will raise her. anna nicoles life was about product endorsement – whether she sought that or not. hopefully her daughter will be raised by those who have NOTHING to gain from her life or tragic death. a video showing her on a stretcher won’t change anything – it’ll just add sorrow.
February 8th, 2007 at 11:08 pm
the people who post this will have to keep in mind 10 years from now her daughter WILL find this stuff. A little respect needs to be given

ugh
nice emoticon splash news
*assholes*

You are so right. It’s so wrong to do that!!! it’s to private and I just cant believe that someone would watch that.
February 9th, 2007 at 5:44 am
I think alot of people will say it’s awful, but will still want to see it.
February 9th, 2007 at 5:58 am
yep. there need to be lines, and though her whole life was just out there and open for the world to see, I still feel as though there are lines of human dignity and respect where we should not delve so deeply into someone else’s personal and most intimate moments. Anna was so troubled and the world took so much advantage of her willingness to participate in the media circus. Showing her death and profiting off of it is sick and wrong and I won’t watch.
February 9th, 2007 at 6:04 am
I think it’s distasteful and disrespectful in the extreme. But I also think the relentless media speculation, the shots of her body being carried from one place to another and the insensitive comments about the problems she had while she was alive are also disrespectful.
A very troubled human being has just died under tragic circumstances and somehow everyone wants to fight over the scraps from the table like she was some commodity ~ it speaks volumes of our collective inability to know when to draw the line.
We have the rest of the year and beyond to wax poetic over blame and conspiracy theories ~ for now people should respect that someone has died and leave it at that.
February 9th, 2007 at 6:10 am
I think it’s a terrible thing. It’s disrespectful and creepy.
February 9th, 2007 at 6:19 am
I love some good gossip…but that is it…gossip. Not watching someone trying to be brought back to life. How awful. Splash is obviously just looking to get as many hits as possible on their site. It is one thing to see the (COVERED) body being transported…but this is a time for respect, privacy, and prayers. As if her daughter doesn’t have enough to go through between the custody battle, her deceased brother, and now a video of her dead mother floating around? And people wonder why celebrity children are so screwed up? I could go on and on about why this is wrong on so many levels.
Nice way to be classy Splash.

No i don’t want to watch it i wouldn’t call the tragic, shocking death of someone a spectacle worth peeping in!! it’s sick! show some damn respect splash idiots! i’m also very disappointed because i’ve been reading lots of blogs today and some people’s comments are totally disrespectful, cruel and disgusting, how can u mock someone’s death no matter if u disapproved her behaviour before?? rest in peace beautiful angel i hope you and your son are finally reunited after all the pain!
i mean what do u guys think about nasty comments?what kind of creatures are capable of such filth?

the video is right now on German TV!!!!!

I think her death will bring to her something that her life could not – the public’s respect. With this & the way her family members are talking smack, people are once again going to feel some sympathy for this poor, poor woman.
February 9th, 2007 at 8:37 am
It’s wrong. I don’t want to see it.
February 9th, 2007 at 8:43 am
I DON’T WANT TO SEE THAT!!Splash news has crossed the line of decency!Unbelievable! What a bunch of rats!!All is good to have high hits!
This poor woman deserves some respect! What about her poor baby??! Did they think her little girl may one day see that??!!!
I am revolted! I hope ANS ghost come to visit them!!

Is there a curiosity factor? Maybe. Death is something that none of us have experienced, and for that reason alone people are curious what the final moments are like.
That being said, I think it’s innapropriate to capitalize on someones death in this way. Would you want someone watching you die? No. It’s horrifying that someone filmed this, worse that they sold it, and disgusting that someone would purchase it. I will not be watching the segment, regardless of where it airs.

She had such a horrible last few months. This woman could not celebrate the birth of her daughter, without burying her beloved son. How tramatic is that? She had a life full of bad decisions, and she focused on how much money she could make no matter what the cost to her reputation. She has been a lost soul for years, she left her family behind and surrounded herself with people who pretended to be her friend. Her so-called husband Howard? is a perfect example. He leached off of her for years as her “attorney”. please. She married him, and I do not believe she ever loved him, to me he convinced her he was the man for her do to the grief stricken circumstances she was going thru. Why wouldn’t she had married him before? he’s been in her life for years. Everyone has taken advantage of her except her beautiful children. I pray that she rests in peace. I pray that she is happy with seeing her Son again, and that she is happy with the fact that her daughter will not be subjected to her bad decisions and bad choice of life style. Her daughter actually has a chance to grow up with a great reputation for her life.
Rest in peace Anna Nicole… your in need of a well deserved vacation…….
February 9th, 2007 at 5:43 pm
i definitely think it’s horrible. i saw it on a couple sites and just went right past it. they should just let her rest in peace…
February 9th, 2007 at 5:50 pm
Splash News knows they did something wrong… How could you not? Are they forgetting that one day Dannilynn is going to be googling her mom one day and she’s gonna find that? My dad died when I was young and I sure as hell to this day wouldnt want to find a video of the death. There’s gossip which we all love, then there’s just plain meaness like Perez and Splash. I hope that all the gossip blogs realize that even though she was a mess in life, she still deserves a little respect and privacy as does her child.. BOYCOTT SPLASH NEWS!!!!!!
February 9th, 2007 at 10:21 pm
I have opted not to watch it. Even if they show it on ET or any other entertainment show, I will not watch someone dying being classified as gossip, or as our right to know everything because she was a public person. I am certain there will be people who will watch, and that is their right, but it’s not for me.
