Jennifer Hudson Calls American Idol Abusive

Jennifer Hudson has won Golden Globe and SAG awards – and is up for an Oscar – for her role in Dreamgirls – despite what she describes as an abusive experience on American Idol.
“On American Idol, you go through this mental thing; you’ve got to get yourself back together. You’ve been abused, misled and brainwashed to believe whatever they want you to think,” Hudson, 25, tells the new issue of Essence.
“You become a character – I became the girl in the turkey wrapping.” (On one episode, she wore an unflattering outfit that earned that label.) “I just knew I had to sing my way out of it. I don’t believe in looking back, and I didn’t look back.”
Hudson also dismisses rumors that there was tension on the Dreamgirls set between herself and costar Beyoncé Knowles. “We clicked from day one,” she says.
She says she, Knowles and their fellow Dreamgirl Anika Noni Rose bonded over the fact that they’re all Virgos, and all have a mole in the same spot on the left side of their necks.
“It’s amazing to me that God took three different women from three different walks of life and created the Dreamgirls,” Hudson says. “We were meant to be together. When you look at us, you see it’s all connected. I’m loving Beyoncé.”
Knowles has also dismissed feud rumors, telling reporters in December: “It’s really unfortunate that everyone is saying I’m jealous of Jennifer. … Because I’m a star they just automatically assume that I’m not humble enough to sit down and take a back seat, which I am.”

It is probably because she’s black. That is what Beyonce’s father would say.

Exactly how do you sing your way out of the competition? Her last song before being voted off was one of her bests if not her best during the competition. That doesn’t make sense. Neither does all this biting the hand that feeds you syndrome these contestants have after they’ve “made it”. If you really don’t look back, why are you still sounding bitter about being on the show? I’m with you suzy, she should get over it!!

The thing is Jennifer was a wild card, she needs to thank Randy Jackson and AI for what ever she went threw because if not for
AI she wouldn’t be getting all these awards, I have not heard her
mention no one from the show not even Fantasia, who is being asked
everywhere she go about Jennifer and Fantasia has only good things
to say about jennifer and the other AIs. Also This is what Fantasia
said is that she appreciates everything she has went threw. That should tell you what kind of person Fantasia is grateful. Yell get over it Jennifer and give praise where u should God and those who help along the way

Haven’t heard her thank anyone from AI yet or say anything about the
other contestants good or bad, But where ever Fantasia goes they are asking about Jennifer, Fantasia has nothing but good thing to say
about her. I don’t know if she was on the show long to get abruse, why not say something about long time ago. Be thankful. and move on.

Jennifer Hudson will not make it very far if she continues with her attitude. That’s one of the reasons I didn’t care for her on AI because of her attitude. Fantasia is always faced with Jennifer Hudson questions and everytime has always given Jennifer her props and say she is proud of her, she has never said anything negative about her. Jennifer was jealous of Fantasia when she won AI you could see it all over her face when she made her first performance that Jennifer attended she had a frown on her face. Jennifer has never thanked AI for being on the show, nor has she mentioned any of the other idols. Fantasia was on Sucker Free on Wed. and she said everyone was a winner to have made it that far on AI, she have never bragged about her success. Fantasia is such a grateful person and I love her attitude. Jennifer on the other hand is kinda like ungrateful and selfish to me.

Jennifer Hudson is a jealous hearted person and she have a bad attitude that’s one of the reason’s why I didn’t care for her on AI. She won this one role in Dreamgirls and it has gone to her head. She will never say anything good about AI because she was voted off. Fantasia is always faced with Jennifer questions and she always say positive things about her and all of the other idols. I don’t feel they are being fair to Fantasia, but she always come through like a trooper. I am so proud of Fantasia because she is able to give other people their props and she have a good attitude. Fantasia will continue to be blessed because of the type person she is. Jennifer Hudson need to loose the attitude.

I think the pool of talent and movies to choose from in 2006 must have been very narrow indeed for Dream Girls to get the nominations and awards it did. I mean the film was overblown confused shit and whilst Hudson can sing very well indeed, her acting ability is nothing to write home about.

While it is true that she would have never gotten the role in dreamgirls without having been on american idol,it is a little harsh to say that she has a bad attitude. She is just simply being honest about her experiance on the show. You may not agree with it, but maybe you all are the ones who should get over it. Fantasia has to give jen her props. Whether you like the movie or not jenn did an amazing job. Exspecially considering the fact that she had never even done a movie before. The girl is talented, you can’t take that away from her.

I Loved Dream Girls and was a Fan of Jennifer until I saw her perform on the Today show and I could smell her attitude through the tv. Also, she needs a stylist and a personal trainer. On many occasions she has performed with a jiggle belly.
