Josh Hartnett talks about his breakup with Scarlett Johansson
Actor Josh Hartnett has spoken to a UK newspaper about his painful break up with Scarlett Johansson.
In London to help launch his support for climate change initiatives by Global Cool, Hartnett spoke to the Mirror about the ending of his one year relationship with the beautiful actress.
“It was difficult spending so much time apart with all our different commitments and both of us flying all over the world,” he said. “At the end of the day, we’re just ordinary people and it didn’t work.”
A source for the newspaper however told the newspaper that the 28-year-old actor was “gutted” over the break up.
“Scarlett was very much a one-off. She was independent, feisty and outgoing – everything he wanted,” the source said.
Hartnett will have plenty to keep his mind off the break up to Johansson. His latest initiative has seen him become the face of an awareness campaign over climate change, and will soon meet with prime minister Tony Blair over global warming issues.
“It’s very strange and makes a change from acting,” he said, saying that he hopes he “can make a difference”.
