“Dreamgirls” Gets Dissed for Best Picture
Oscar nominations were just announced, and while Dreamgirls got eight nods, it didn’t get a Best Picture nomination. Among the individual notable omissions, Brad Pitt didn’t get nominated for “Babel,” while Golden Globe winner Sacha Baron Cohen didn’t get a nom for “Borat,” though his screenplay did. Will Smith was a bit of a surprise for “The Pursuit of Happyness,” as was “Little Miss Sunshine” as a best picture nominee.
