Father Says Beyoncé’s Golden Globe Snub Was Due To Racism

Ya, just keep telling yourself that. Oh PUHLEEZE.
Beyoncé Knowles’ father Mathew is furious the superstar was overlooked at the Golden Globe Awards, accusing the film industry of discriminating against blacks. The singer-turned-actress failed to pick up a single nomination for her role in Dreamgirls, and – despite Golden Globe wins for African-Americans Forest Whitaker, Eddie Murphy, Prince, Jennifer Hudson and the movie itself – Knowles blames his daughter’s omission on racism.
He told reporters after the ceremony on Monday, “Today is MLK’s (Martin Luther King’s) birthday and it saddens me to say that things have not changed for blacks. Working class blacks and blacks in Hollywood are still being discriminated against. We still have a long way to go.”
It couldn’t POSSIBLY have anything to do with the fact that Beyonce didn’t DESERVE to be nominated?

Is he for real? Snub due to racism? If this is true, why then were her costars also not nominated? All of Beyonce’s costars are African-American, are they not? Did the all change colors over night? Are they secretly caucasian? I mean, come on. What lame crap is her father spewing because he can’t deal with the fact that while Beyonce may be able to sing, she can’t act! Grow up, Mr. Knowles, grow some balls and learn to take this stuff like a man!

She is sooooo annoying. Cant stand her and I am glad that she did not get nominated for her role. Hmmmmm, could you be jealous that Jennifer Hudson won the Golden Globe instead?

I really disliked her but now that I know her family plays the “race card,” really makes me hate her. I can’t believe that her father would say something like that, it just shows his ignorance. I hate how people belive the color of skin designates the path that you chose in life. It appears to me that B and her daddy are whiners. Hey daddy, it might be that your precious daughter can’t act.

I gotta tell ya, the black man keeps himself down
(….with attitudes like this. Of course, I realise that not all black people agree would agree with him)

ugh, c’mon….. girl can’t act.

Huh, sounds like Beyonce’s father & Jessica Simpeon’s father should get together and go bowling sometime…

Ok let’s see….Forrest Whittaker won best actor, Eddie Murphy won Best supporting actor, and oh yeah Jennifer Hudson won Best Supporting Actress which they all happened to be Black. And you made this statement because……

Her father and her are a joke. She didn’t win because she did not deserve to win. She is a 32 year old non-actress…They need to get over it. I’ll be glad when “starpower” takes a back sit to true thespians!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I MUST ADMIT BEYONCE’S PAST MOVIES WERENT SO GREAT, BUT HER ACTING IN DREAM GIRLS WAS AMAZING, THIS ARTICLE IS BIASED BECAUSE SHE WAS ACTUALLY NOMINATED FOR SEVERAL GOLDEN GLOBE CATEGORIES. BUT EVEN THOUGH BEYONCE DIDN’T WIN A GOLDEN GLOBE FOR BEST ACTRESS IN A MOVIE , SHE SHOULD HAVE ATLEAST WON AN AWARD FOR HER PERFORMANCE OF LISTEN AND BEST ORIGINAL SONG.

As a Nigerian girl, I am really disappointed this man for saying such a thing. Not everything is down to racism, awards are given to those who deserve them. Jennifer Hudson can SINGGG, and it was her turn to be praised and awarded. Some of us black people (excluding me)still think just because of our history (we didn’t go through it, our ancestors did) that we can just label any white (or person of any other race)racist at the drop of a hat. Trust, I know what racism is, and I’m only 15, so for this ignorant man to say the stupid thing he said, just makes him look pathetic, self-absorbed and whiny. I’m done, …luv to evriiwun…reppinNIGERIAllwaiiz
