Apparently the NY Post has a problem with Angelina Jolie.
From the NY Post on Angelina last night:
Who put the bee in Angelina’s bonnet – or, should we say, in her helmet hair? The good shepherdess looked positively peeved on the red carpet alongside life partner Brad Pitt. In fact, rather than an earth mother out to save all the world’s orphans, she looked more like the “Alien” mother, poised to eat her young.
Jolie remained mum during an interview with Ryan Seacrest, ignoring questions posed in her direction, until Seacrest asked her a question about their family and boldly stuck his microphone right into her face.
After a rare red-carpet moment of stony silence, Brad leapt in and said, “The answer is ‘no comment.’”
The “Tomb Raider” star’s death glare seemed to extend even in Pitt’s direction, as he answered questions from Seacrest about their children and his nominated film, “Babel.”
Jolie’s brow furrowed as Pitt told Seacrest he wanted a whole soccer team of Jolie-Pitts. Guess Angie isn’t so keen on a big brood – or on Brad’s cavalier attitude toward talking about the fam.
With her frail limbs hooked around her purse, one couldn’t help but be reminded of a praying mantis. It doesn’t bode well for Pitt!
You’d think that her designer, St. John, could have gotten Jolie to at least crack a bit of a smile – she is getting paid $12 million to don their smoky gray chiffon goddess gown for her trip along the carpet. It took a victory by her beau’s “Babel” to finally get her to lighten up.

I agree, she seemed to be in a really foul mood. Her makeup and hair were fine, but her usual glow was completely absent.
I suspect by her body language that she *hated* her dress – it was so unflattering – hideous, really. I think – because of this or some other reason – she was feeling somewhat shy or insecure from all the world looking at her since she really *clung* to brad. I saw her grab his hand or his coat constantly to keep in constant touch with him.
She looks more peaceful in the stills than she does if you watch her on video. As she’s walking and moving you can really see how “off” she is.

She was a definate sour puss during Ryan’s interview. It was so weird, I had to rewind just to make sure of what I saw. She basically said nothing and Brad had to answer all the questions. I didn’t think the jewerly matched the dress and the hair was just awful.
A better attitude would have been nice as well.

Ya know, Trix, I have to agree (that the bad attitude came from the dress.) I was in a “fashion show” (for a store in Colorado) when I was 15, and because I showed up late, they had me wear the ugliest fricking outfit… I would not smile the entire time. There was a lot of stress put on her to wear St. Johns (she was paid a sick amount of money, so really she shouldn’t bitch), but there is nothing worse than not being comfortable in what you are wearing (she still should have done something different with her hair and makeup… yuck!)

I agree with all of you as well as the news story. I was really excited to see the two of them on the red carpet at a big event together but Angelina ruined everything. I seriously wonder what was up her butt? I did read a report that she hated all of the dresses that St. John sent to her…but still, you can still have a good time, right??? I mean Cate Blanchett’s dress was pretty bleh, but she didn’t look all pissed. Bottom line, Angelina you ruined my night.

On the one hand, I do agree that it’s difficult to smile when you hate what you’re wearing, but in the end you have to make the most of it (especially if you’re being paid mega bucks to wear the ugly clothes) and the most beautiful thing you can wear is a smile.

Considering all the goodwill work that she does, I have a hard time believing a dress would set her off like that. She’s all for being grateful, making too much money, rescuing kids, etc. To let a dress get to her like that seems highly unlikely. Her body language spoke volumes, she didn’t know what to do with her praying mantis arms. At first she crossed them which indicates someone is pissed, but it looked like she quickly realized it.
She’s a freak and Brad is an idiot for leaving Jennifer Aniston for her. I’m certain one day he will realize that, then again maybe not.

I think that she was steping back and let Ryan focus on Brad. In no way did she seem unhappy about being there or with her dress.

Okay, I don’t know what is up with you people, whether you are just jealous or haters, but she was absolutely the most gorgeous, classy one there. Together they are stunning, and I think they speak their own language that you guys obviously don’t understand. And Friedman-Klein, you are one to talk about someone being snotty. The dress isn’t that bad, it’s just not her style. And she should have “acted” better even if she didn’t like it. She’s too thin and the dress overwhelmed her. Something finer and nore slinky would have been better.

Well, I just remember the display between “Ang” and her brother on the red carpet of few years back, weirdoooo. She will always be waaaay out there in my book. AND agreed with the above, the woman is an actress, so if only to save face for yourself, and your life partner, put on a frickin’ full wattage smile and thank GOD or whomever that you are even there!! She just looked snide. AND maybe she really was stepping back to allow “all” attention on Brad Pitt or something like that…. but she didn’t seem to do it well enough for many homeviewers or some of media to notice.

Well you know just maybe, she’s fed up with the superficial, lame, shallow questions coming from a superficial, lame, shallow individual like Ryan Seacrest. My suggestion to her though, is to be up front in these situations and say, you know Ryan if you want to interview me, please direct questions relating to issues that matter… afterall, we’re trying to save a world here obsessed by superficial, lame shallow things, like what I’m wearing for Christ sake. Come on people, grow up… WTF does Angelina Jolie’s mood matter in the big scheme of things!! I think we all need shrinks for this inexplicable obsession with these people…

Angie has always said in interviews in the past that she is not big on Awards Shows at ALL. She despises them and thinks it’s all for show. Which could be why she looked to not be having such a good time. She probably rather be home with her kids.

i could be wrong, but… i’m from new orleans and she was here the day before this event. she saw the devastation that still exist over a year later (abandonded neighborhoods, people living in FEMA trailers, etc.). probably felt like this event is so small in light of the major problems in this city. also, the dress thing probably didn’t help.

Do ya think it might have been because her mother is dying of cancer and getting close to the end????? She went to support her man at his evening, I’m sure everyone here has not been in the mood to go out somewhere when we have had too. Maybe the babies have been sick and not sleeping, but she couldn’t say that to Ryan Spewcrest because then the next days news would be ‘Brangelina not coping with parenthood” (yawn!)
