“Amazing Race: All Stars” Cast Revealed

CBS announced the 11 returning teams for the next season of The Amazing Race on Tuesday morning, a group that includes only a single former winner: Joyce and Uchenna Agu, who took the million dollars home after Season 7. Among the interesting twists is the mixed team of Eric Sanchez and Danielle “Dee” Turner. Although they competed on separate teams in Season 9 (he finished second, while she was in seventh), they met and have been dating since soon after. The show debuts Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. ET.
How did Race challenge contestants who knew the drill? “We had to throw them curveball after curveball, because they all thought they knew what we were doing again,” Van Munster says. So the 45,000-mile, 28-day race, which ended Dec. 19, sent them “from extreme cold to extreme heat,” a desert in northern Chile to “borderline South Pole” in Antarctica. Despite producers’ all-star “reservations,” Van Munster says the season resulted in “a lot of friction right off the bat. … I’m confident we laid something on the table that will be very unexpected, and story-wise, there were plenty of fireworks.”

Dustin and Kandice?? Gag me.

I have to combine both of the above comments: Rob and Amber and the blondes are set to make this season of Amazing Race unbearable. Why do Rob and Amber list their occupation as “TV personalities”? Reality tv trash is more like it. I hope they get booted first…

I actually really like the “blondes” and Rob and Amber both. They both make amazing teams. THey are both competative and smart. People let their I’m excited to see them all. I am dissapointed that the hippies are not coming back. Would love to see them.

I LOVE this show! Oh good! Team Guido is back…I hope that Rob and Amber DO NOT win it…I prefer the coalminers.

Don’t hate me…but I was hoping Rob and Amber would be back. They are nothing if not entertaining! I loved that Joyce and her man won that season because they really needed the money, but the producers stepped in and had them hold the plane for them…Rob and Amber should have won. I’ve always thought that was fixed.

I have to agree with the first two commenters. Rob & Amber again? Ugh. The Blondies from last season’s Race? I never wanted to see them again. They were hyper-competitive, bordering on mean, when they ran the Race in Season 10. However, it would be nice to see if the coalminers from Season 10 can make as much headway this time as they did when they were part of the “Six-Pack” alliance”.
