First look at Lane Garrison since this weekends fatal crash.
An emotional Lane Garrison was seen weeping and looking very distraught as he left a Los Angeles area church.
Garrison was the driver in a weekend accident that killed 17-year-old Vahagn Setian and seriously injured two other teens. He exited Good Shepherd Church in Beverly Hills with tears streaming down his face and his head in his hands.
The “Prison Break” actor showed up to the church at 11:30 Wednesday morning, spending 15 minutes inside before his tearful exit.
Such a sad story… it’s one of those things that literally could happen to anyone. So sad.

Ummm – sad? I am trying to reserve judgement on this until the official results come in – BUT, by all accounts so far he was DUI. That’s not something that could just happen to anyone. If he was DUI he made a very conscious choice to down vodka then get behind the wheel. A young man is dead. Lane had better start praying if he was drinking and driving!!

I agree – it can’t literally happen to anyone. It happens to those who choose to drink, and then choose to drive!
Now being a victim of someone DUI – that can literally happen to anyone ..
Not only was he irresponsible and DUI – BUT – and this really chaps my ass – he chose to drive around minors!

Being the victim of this kind of accident can happen to anyone. It happens all the time. And how is this story not sad?

Jocelyn – I should clarify. I took the comment to mean that this picture of LG would invoke sadness for him because this could happen to anyone. Per my earlier post and well reiterated by Global, I am NOT sad for LG if this was in fact a DUI … and it seems it was. It IS sad – sad for the victims in this case. Lane Garrison isn’t a victim, IMHO. Watching the families grieve and cry would make me sad… looking at LG crying makes me wanna knock him into next week for taking an innocent life!

Well, I feel for him. Who has not in their life exercised bad judgement and later thought “wow, I was lucky”? He mad a stupid choicem, stupid, stupid, stupid. And now someone is dead. It’s tragic all the way around. But (and really knowing nothing about him as a person) I’m assuming he had not made it a habit of engaging in this type of behavior. So in that case, it’s sad for him as well. Young guy, stupid decisions. Unfortunately very bad consequences.

15 whole minutes huh? Was that 5 for each victim?

He needs to high tail it to some strange land to avoid jail.

Anonymous – Well, actually, it’s been reported that he attempted a hit and run while leaving a nightclub about 6 weeks ago. Apparently nothing came of that, but I also don’t think the police were called by the people involved.
There are plenty of people who have NOT exercised bad judgement at the expense/risk of other people!!!! Age and stupidity are not an excuse for what he did or for anybody else to drink and drive. If he was drunk I hope they throw the book at him, hard. It was not just a stupid choice – it was an irresponsible choice that cost someone their LIFE. He didn’t just rear end another car and I think you insult the victims family by suggesting it was just a stupid choice he made. I bet they won’t shrug it off so easily!

A big lesson to be taught…
No behind wheel, no ride share – when driver seems intoxicated…
The victim – loved and enjoyed life…. but cut short…
Extremely hard for kids who knew the victim… and the parents seeing their children grieving… prayer for all…

I’m reserving judgement until the BAC results come back.
In the meantime, as a parent of a 15 yr old girl myself, WTH were these kids doing out at midnight? Especially a 15 year old girl? I don’t think LG forced those kids in the SUV … star struck they most likely went willingly … especially if the girls are PB fans … yes, getting behind the wheel intoxicated is a dumb ass move … but so is the choice of getting into the vehicle of a drunk driver. If he was so intoxicated by all the grey goose he was allegedly downing, why didn’t these kids have one brain cell amongst them to say “don’t get into the vehicle”?
And where the hell were the parents at location of the party? Horrible parental supervision!

it is not sad. it couldn’t happen to anyone. he was drunk and decided to drive with 3 teenages in his vehicle. It is sad for the families of those teenages but he is a MURDERER!!!

Anonymous – Wow, harsh. First of all, ITA WTH were the parents and these kids should not have been there to begin with.
Of course LG didn’t force them – but they are MINORS. If they’d be drinking (which it sounds likely they were) they certainly wouldn’t be exercising that kind of judgement at that point. Whereas LG, as an adult, should not have been drinking to that point (when he knew he was driving) and ITA with an earlier poster – WTH was he doing driving around minors and bringing them on an ALCOHOL run??
These ARE kids. There is a reason they aren’t even allowed to drive until they are 16 or drink until 21… because at that age they are known to make poor choices, etc. – not the same with LG. Do YOU remember what i was like to be 15?? I can admit if LG showed up at a party I was at, I would ABSOLUTELY be star struck… especially if I was 15 and drinking.
I don’t think it’s right to imply they deserved it because they made poor choices. LG was the adult here, HE should have known better. His choices were FAR worse than the choices these kids made. As far as I am concerend the people resposible here are the adults.. the ones that let them attend and the one that drove drunk (allegedly) with them!

I would just like to say that this whole case is so stuipid! I feel bad for the teenager who died, but it was an acciednt! For god sakes, there is nothing stating tha Lane was drunk, and until some one can prove that he was, I believe he should not go to jail, or serve any time! He was mature enough to go to the funeral, and he has a rep., people need to stop trying to ruin that for him!!!!!

to ERICA….
that is so heartless. this poor boy with friends and family is GONE due to Lane Garrisons drunk driving as well as cocain abuse. just because lane has a repuation, doesnt mean he has an excuse for killing people. its NOT a stupid case, and even an “accident” isn’t going to make up for the misery, especially mine, that families and close friends like me have gone through. Lane Garrison deserves to serve time, yet is good enough to go to V’s funeral.

Lane Garrison deserve beeing jailed…
