Anna Nicole did NOT marry lawyer, just exchanged “Commitment Vows”
Whatever that means.

Anna Nicole Smith exchanged vows with lawyer/boyfriend Howard K. Stern Thursday, but there was no formal marriage and the ceremony is “not legally binding,” her attorney Michael Scott told the Associated Press.
The ceremony took place aboard a boat near Nassau, where Smith’s 20-year-old son, Daniel, died unexpectedly, less than three weeks ago.
The couple “exchanged vows before God” while on board the catamaran but did not obtain a marriage license.
“It was not a formal, legal arrangement,” Scott said.
Smith has been married twice. At the age of 17, she married Bill Smith in 1985, giving birth to Daniel Smith before divorcing two years later. At 26, she wed 89-year-old Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II in 1994. He died the following year.
Three days before Daniel passed away, Smith gave birth to a daughter she named Dannielynn in honor of her deceased son. Stern recently told talk show host Larry King that he is the father of the baby girl, although photojournalist Larry Birkhead has also come forward to claim paternity.
In response to Stern and Smith’s union, Birkhead told Us Weekly, “I wish them all the luck in their commitment, however my only commitment is to have a life with a daughter I was told was mine.”
