Evan Rachel Wood and Uma Thurman will topline the indie thriller “In Bloom.”
Wood will play the younger version of Thurman’s character in the flick, which comes from 2929 Prods.
Vadim Perelman (“House of Sand and Fog”) is directing the adaptation of Laura Kasischke’s novel “The Life Before Her Eyes.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plot can be described thusly (who says thusly?), “The action revolves around a teenager who witnesses a high school shooting. Fifteen years later, unable to recover from her survivor’s guilt, her grip on reality begins to break, and she faces a shocking truth.” Anybody have any hunches on what the twist is going to be?
Thurman (“Pulp Fiction”) was most recently scene in the late summer disappointment “My Super Ex-Girlfriend,” while Wood’s (“thirteen”) last credit was the spring’s indie “Down in the Valley.”
So basically, it will be the feel good movie of the year! That Evan Rachel Wood – she picks such happy movies.
