I suppose it was bound to happen eventually.  She sang “Cruisin” with Huey Lewis in the movie “Duets”, and it wasn’t that bad I guess.  Plus, being married to Chris Martin, the lead singer of my favorite boy band ColdPlay – can’t hurt.  I’m just usually not a fan of actors turned singers.  It doesn’t usually end up well. 

British newspaper The Sun reports Paltrow – who sang in the 2000 flop movie DUETS – has been writing and recording with Orbit, who produced her pal MADONNA’s RAY OF LIGHT album.

A source tells the publication, “Gwyneth has messed around with CHRIS (MARTIN) so to speak. She would not work on music with her husband, she feels like she would be treading on his toes.

“When they are together they like to be away from work. But Gwyneth has got a fantastic voice.” Paltrow and Duets co-star HUEY LEWIS hit the top of the Australian music charts with CRUISIN’ in 2000.
